17. Refunds and cancelations

19. Benefit ‘card’
19.1. The HO-OT “Benefit card” is issued by, and remains the property of, who reserves the right to decline, issue and withdraw the Benefit Card or any Benefit or Partner points accrued at any time. reserves the right to alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Benefit Card.

19.8. Any person who does not agree to be bound by the HO-OT Membership Programme Terms and Conditions may not participate in the HO-OT Membership Programme. Existing HO-OT Membership Programme members who do not agree to be bound by the HO-OT Membership Programme Terms and Conditions, including amendments thereto from time to time, must notify HO-OT of such refusal in writing to, in which event such member’s participation in the HO-OT Membership programme may be terminated and/or such person’s Benefits cancelled.
19.9. Persons applying for HO-OT Membership or redeeming any benefit accrued thereunder are required to provide a valid identity document issued in their country of origin as well as contact details. HO-OT’s right to decline to register any person and/or redeem any benefit, on whatever ground, is expressly reserved.
19.10. HO-OT Membership and the rewards accruing thereto are not transferable. HO-OT Membership Programme rewards will accrue to the HO-OT Member only.
19.11. To qualify for any of the benefits and specials as detailed on the website at any of the stipulated service and product providers the member must present his benefit card as sent to his mobile phone at the time of registration and payment. This mobile card must be presented at the point of sale at the time of transaction.
19.12. To redeem HO-OT Membership Benefits and Discounts the virtual Benefit card sent to your mobile device must be available when redeeming those benefits.
19.13. HO-OT membership Benefits and Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash.
19.14. In the event of any abuse or fraud being committed by any person in respect of the Membership Card and/or conduct involving the abuse of points or rewards, HO-OT reserves the right to take appropriate action against the responsible person and all benefits and/or points accrued and unredeemed benefits and rewards issued may be forfeited and the HO-OT Membership Card revoked.
19.15. Only the registered Card holder swiping the card (or making online purchases using a valid online profile against which that person’s Card is registered) at the time of the purchase transaction will be able to redeem the discounts and specials.
19.16. The virtual card used at the POS during any particular transaction will earn the appropriate discount, points or special associated with the membership and cannot be changed retrospectively.

20. Third party service providers and loyalty partners
20.1. No points, benefits, specials, discounts and/or rewards will be earned or awarded in respect of any goods and/or services where the earning or awarding of such points, benefits and/or rewards are prohibited by any legislation in the Republic of South Africa and, where applicable other jurisdictions.
20.2. 20.3. HO-OT reserves the right to retract any awards through its loyalty partners or service providers or otherwise earned through the HO-OT Membership Programme.

HO-OT Members have the right, in accordance with the relevant legislation, to (a) obtain access to his/her personal information held by; (b) to request the correction, destruction or deletion of his/her personal information held by; and (c) to object to the processing of his/her personal information. In the case of a HO-OT Member objecting to the capture and processing of his/her personal information such person’s HO-OT Membership will be terminated.
20.5. It is the HO-OT member’s responsibility to inform HO-OT of any changes to his/her personal information.
20.6. HO-OT members may opt-out of any direct marketing received from, should he/she so elect, by notifying thereof in writing to or via the opt-out instructions in the various communication channels.
20.7. Mustang Media (Pty) Ltd and the Membership Programme have engaged with certain loyalty partners and service providers who participate in the HO-OT Membership Benefit programme.
20.8. These third-party programmes must be activated according to each such third party’s process and are subject to such third party’s terms and conditions.
20.9. Registration for such third-party partners may require the Benefit Card holder to contact the third party directly to complete the registration and redeem benefits.
